March 2010 "Just a smile" : A drawing for the children of Gaza
"Let's rally to send a message of peace and love to children from Gaza wounded by war and the blockade ! "
"Just a smile": a sound from the heart to offer our best smile to Palestinian children. A call which is from and for people who refuse to see their children suffer and die in indifference. This initiative is intended to be an international call which was addressed to organizations working for justice, the good of humanity and the precious peace. It carries with it the challenge of living well together.
This project is ambitious. It is indeed to support the children of Gaza, deprived childhood to collective punishment and a state of extreme siege, with the objective: make them smile, give them a taste of the game and enable them to regain their innocence.
For this, two operations launched by the EFOMW, European Forum of Muslim Women:
• A large collection of designs for children from France and elsewhere is organized.
• Following this, an exhibition and sale of these designs to benefit the children at
Annual Meeting of the Muslims of France at Le Bourget 2 to 5 April 2010 (booth CBSP). A contest will determine the best design choice to make postcards to be sold to projects for Palestinian children. All types of drawings will be accepted: pencils, colors, paintings, collages ... everything is permitted to you to innovate!
• the desire of a group of children "Sunbeam" had become reality, the production achieves EFOMW a beautiful CD.
"This CD is intended as a hymn to love, peace and a message of hope.
The children sing in French life, in Arabic and English. This is an appeal from the heart, for young and less young people, and who wishes to disseminate a wonderful project, which is to restore a smile to children who are suffering in Palestine.
"Just a small gesture, a gentle word, a glance is sufficient to say no to the suffering."
Let the servants of solidarity for making life with a smile to a child is an act that each of us can do.
